• Assembly machine for industrial components
  For a specialist in heat ducting pipes we built a purpose built metal forming and flanging machine. Three parts are shaped and brought together to be connected by rolling in flanged edges. With this method no soldering or glue is required reducing risks during the process. By using this machine and thus ensuring an ergonomic operation the productivity has doubled The process is controlled by 4 servo motors which report back production validation data. Operator safety is enhanced by a light screen protection around the main process.

• Sealing assembly
  For an automotive supplier of cooling and heat exchangers we delivered a system for the assembly and the fixing of the sealing strip on their cooler design. The fixing is done by bending four holding clips in place after assembly. Sensors check the process and validate the production data for QA reference in automotive style to the PLC. By equipping the unit with two-handed operation, safety is ensured during the transfer and press stages. Meanwhile the front position is used for product release and the placing of a new seal. This may be automated further when necessary with a cobot to release and replace the product. A light screen protects the operator.

• Automatic drilling machine
  This Wadcon designed and built drilling machine is used to modify a brake cylinder. The cylinder is detected and positioned correctly for the drilling operation to begin. To ensure no metal cutting damages the brake cylinder is suctioned off and the unit checked before fitting a pin into the drilled hole. As the pin is being fixed the brake cylinder is adjusted by an automatic screwdriver. As it is an automotive product, production validation data is kept in the PLC.
